Izzy Maternity Hosts Pregnancy and Relaxation Workshop

Atlanta, GA – Izzy Maternity held an expectant mom workshop on pregnancy and labor massage on Wednesday, April 1 at its Alpharetta location.  Guests learned the benefits of pregnancy massage and relaxation tips to diminish the mental and physical strain associated with being pregnant.
    Licensed massage therapist and labor doula Sherri Danzig hosted the evening. She covered massage basics from key pressure points on mom’s body to what to include when packing a hospital bag. She emphasized homemade massage implements, oils, and mood relaxation tools as important items to have on hand during labor. In addition, during live massage demonstrations expectant moms were able to sample some of the techniques used especially for pregnancy aches and pains.
    Expectant mom workshops are a new initiative started by Izzy Maternity in January of 2009. By facilitating workshops, Izzy Maternity hopes to serve as both a maternity retail destination and a place where expectant moms can garner advice on all their pregnancy needs. Each event features a local business or service that is relevant to women who are expecting.
